Here's a stat from Twitter, not sure if it's entirely correct of course:

Passes made:

Reading 246
Villa 23

23 passes in 45 minutes.

Seventeen of them were in the warm-up.

Johnstone kept us in the game during that period as well.

Villa will get battered and win 1-0 with Agbonlahor scoring to secure his starting place for the next three months.

See, this is the whole point isn't it?
We have been shit for months.
He has had a close season, a pre season and a couple of games to work out how to change things around.

And he still can't feckin' do it.

Despite a shoeing at the weekend, he still can't lift, motivate, cajole, bully, initmidate, scare, encourage or demand the team improve their performance.

There is no doubt, no doubt whatsoever that he needs to go, and go now.

It's like tertiary piles, and you refuse surgery to relieve it.

It's not that much fun.

I'm beyond depressed - the combined efforts of piss poor Managers, inept coaches, pathetic players has left me uncomfortably numb about the Villa now. I genuinely feel sorry for any of you who were not around when we had decent teams with excellent Managers who actually gave a stuff about the name Aston Villa FC. Thank God my memory is still reasonably intact which allows me to remember the great days.

By the law of  avaerages surely we will see a Villa team worth its name soon?

Bruce must be thankful he's top of the table and doesn't need this game to save his job or anything.
