Only Agbonlahor, Lansbury and Adomah to bring on to alter the game going forward, isn't the best. Let's hope we hit the ground running and for God's sake if we have a few early chances fucking take them.

no hutton and flabby excellent

de laet is a very good rB at this level

Break up play with Whelan
Energy and drive with Onomah
Passing ability with Hourihane

On paper it's all there, can they please please play as a unit tonight and run these clowns ragged.

Generally satisfied with the first team selection, but O'Hare is pretty unlucky to be excluded altogether.

Not tonight John. This is the night it clicks. Bruce's Villa career is on the line. The long awaited tonking is to take place. I'd Kevin Keegan love it if we saw a performance tonight.

That's the best team he's picked so far but I can't work out why you'd have Hutton and Bree both on the bench.

We have De Laet with a throw like a howitzer but nobody up front who can head the ball.   Has to be JT I suppose.

This side would have beaten Hull.

Green played in the relegation team. A bit harsh to include him, but we still haven't technically started with a team not including any of them.

I just want to see us keep possession better, pass and move and keep the ball of the fucking deck. I watched some of the goals Hogan scored for Brentford and so many of them were clever through balls that he ran on to. None of this hit and hope long ball bollocks.

We can't pass, can't tackle, can't attack, can't shoot, can't defend, and can't play. We're going to win this aren't we?

Reminds me of this KIT KAT advert (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gcsXtiN8-UY)

Except we won't go a long way.

I wish someone would.

Thoughts from the away end.
First 15 we were solid, 1 shot on target, then Reading had a good spell 4 or 5 corners in quick time and a few good chances. We are defending way too deep already, 11 behind the ball at a corner for fucks sake.
Bjarnasson is a liability and gets muscled off the ball like an U14B player.
Something needs to change second half.

I'm beyond depressed - the combined efforts of piss poor Managers, inept coaches, pathetic players has left me uncomfortably numb about the Villa now. I genuinely feel sorry for any of you who were not around when we had decent teams with excellent Managers who actually gave a stuff about the name Aston Villa FC. Thank God my memory is still reasonably intact which allows me to remember the great days.

By the law of  avaerages surely we will see a Villa team worth its name soon?

He doesn't have many excuses to stay. We are worst than last season. He's addressed none of our faults but done a cracking job of ensuring that we lose one of our strengths - a relatively strong defence.

Dr Tony needs to start thinking of a replacement RIGHT NOW. Someone who can do a better job than this clown. My mom's not doing much these days.

The dr is part of the problem just look at his first two managerial appointments

I honestly don't think he picked Bruce, it felt like a Wyness apoointment at the time and everything I've read since suggests that Wyness is the only reason he's still here.

Quite possible, but who chose wyness

Like Lambert before him, I don't think he was a bad choice at the time of his appointment.  Lambert, however, was given far too much time when it was clear things were getting worse and Bruce shouldn't be given that luxury.

Sam Allerdyce, anyone? This is absolutely fucking dreadful, the manner of that second goal was beyond a joke. When you go 2 down, and you decide to bring on Hutton, you're making your own bed,
Retired from club football.

There's just something utterly cuntish about watching Aston Villa in 2017 and still having Hutton and Agbonlahor in the side.

There are club legends who played less games for the club than Hutton.

We were never in it. The top two scored 40 more goals than we did last season. We bought a center back and a defensive midfielder.
