We seem happy throwing millions at sub-standard players, why can't we invest some cash in securing a decent manager? Look at Benitez, no one thought he'd be at Newcastle but they made it happen and he got them sorted and won the league. I'm tired of chancing it on has been managers or rookies - Recruit some quality. Houllier was probably the last quality manager we had but it was the wrong time. Look at the list since then (it's embarrassing) and maybe you can see why we are where we are and how much have we paid out in contract settlements? That could have been used to get someone with pedigree.
Olof Melberg and new coaches, would Terry be a good choice as a coach?
Terry is not a coach. He is a retired footballer living in a rest home at B6.

I thought his record to date is quite impressive
What about Jaap Stam?He seems to have found his feet in this division.

Possession football obviously has its merits, but a more direct team would have but 4 or 5 past us last night. They seemed far too content to just move the ball aimlessly around the pitch for the first half. Not sure I could stomach watching that every week.
