Remember that Stoke fan? Bunny?  Never trusted him, delighted for him as and when they go down.

We've had some weird ones, that Liverpool fan that spent ages defending Suarez, another Liverpool fan that was fine and then suddenly went insane on a thread about one of the Villa hoolie books. Then there were Sendo (West am) and DaveyB (Sunderland) that were fine. Even Liam the baggie was ok, although for some reason he hasn't posted for a while!

Re their kop end, I couldn't believe how small it was when I was in there for the European championships X number of years ago. My vote is that anything L'pool can f-ck off!

Standing at the Anfield Road end in the '70s, it was hard to understand the media b******* about them being the 'friendliest' supporters.

1977
i was there. Mayhem.

I was 15 shitting my pants and thinking please don’t score Andy think of the fans

What a magnificent job Chris Hughton has done.

Indeed he has.  When his stock was high a few years ago, though obviously not as high as it is now, I'm sure there was an opportunity for us to go and get him as our manager.  That has clearly now gone.  As it is, I would be surprised if he is not the England manager/coach by September.

Maybe we could've got him in summer 2011 but then he only had six months at Newcastle in premier league so was more unproven than someone like Lambert.

Struggled a bit at Norwich after spending money on players like Ricky Van Wolfswinkle.

Stock has never been higher than it is now, great stuff at Brighton.

understand kippa .

know it can be difficult going on a different clubs website trying to be constructive

just can't believe the stats i saw this week and where we are

can't wait for the footie season to end and start  to catch a few cricket games . oh glammy glammy glamorgan  !!

I wouldn't say Cardiff's promotion is going to be earth shattering. When Warnock took over early last season you were bottom 3 and finished comfortably mid table so there was already upward trajectory.

Given Warnock's record down here I thought you'd be in mix for play offs. Just had a brilliant start to the season and kept up momentum.

I would say Huddersfield getting promoted was bigger achievement, they came from nowhere to go up. Cardiff of course went up just 5 years ago under that nice man Malkay Mackay........

If Preston sneak into play offs and go up that would beat anything in recent times as don't think they've played top level football since 1964 or something so they can fulfil the long suffering criteria.

I think Preston were relegated in 1962. My Preston supported friend was born the year they went down and they haven’t been back since.

Looks like Huddersfield will probably survive, which amazes me as I thought they were rubbish last season (we should have beaten them twice).

Hughton did a good job at Small Heath. He had to rebuild the squad on a budget after TSM got them relegated and their best players were sold. He also got them into the play offs despite the distraction of what their fans like to call 'their European adventure'.

'Small Heath's European Adventure' sounds quite quaint in an Enid Blyton sort of way.

If Carlsberg did Sunday football results then a cheeky treble on Barnsley, Burton Albion and Fulham would make a nice little return.

No he did very well there particularly as they played nearly 70 games as they had Europe and also a decent FA cup run.

McLeish also got them promoted of course so it would've still been a big gamble appointing him in 2012 as opposed to now as his top flight experience as a manager was just six months at Newcastle.
