I have resented them ever since 1983 ( I know, I know) but I thought they were unfortunate tonight.

What really shocked me tonight was how poorly dressed their fans were. Back in 83 it was all cashmere camel coats, greased back hair and shades. Not what you normally saw at a game walking down Witton Lane.

Juventus have benefited from the odd dodgy referring decision over the years. They havent paid for some of them.

This. I wanted them to win tonight but let's not forget Juve are scum as well.

I have resented them ever since 1983 ( I know, I know) but I thought they were unfortunate tonight. I was looking forward to extra time and maybe penalties. The last minute penalty was a 50:50 call which means the defender was giving the ref a really tough decision to make. After 10-12 views I couldn’t say with certainty it was a penalty, but would definitely have appealed for it for the Villa

Isn't it fascinating that allegiances are formed with clubs and they stick from then onwards?

I remember as a very young lad playing out the football games from goal magazine in my back garden and at probably the age of 6/7 always seeing Celtic's Bobby Lennox and Jimmy Johnstone scoring a shedload of goals.
Ever since I side with Celtic as opposed to Rangers.

Neves' goal for Wolves tonight was sheer brilliance.
It was ok but not as good as Jack’s. Jack had to hit a spinning clearance  with precision Neves set him self up nicely with the ball in his control.

No chance, that Neves goal was extraordinary.

just watched it.
That was a special goal by a special player.

But he's wearing a Wolves shirt so I'll vote for super Jack.

Sadly I agree. Lowton's was better than both though.

I concur.
Seeing Matt Lowton's screamer brought a few memories right back to me.
I'm lucky to be pals with Dave "Ned" Kelly (Top man btw) who was at Forest with Billy Davies and when Lowton unleashed his wonderstrike I was on a freebie sitting in the City Ground watching Forest grind out a 1-1 draw with I think Blackpool as the Fonz was playing for them in the home sides ultimately failed attempt in getting promoted with Mr Lansbury spraying footballs left right and centre.

Somebody behind me commented  "Lowtons just scored a fucking worldy at Stoke"
The other highlight of that day was trying to fathom how incredibly small the City Ground seemed.

Neves’ goal is really amazing. Jack’s goal is superb, but gotta love me a bit of Matty Lowton. The best of three excellent goals.

Great goal by Neves. One thing I've noticed, Wolves had four clear days between Cardiff and Derby - Villa only two after Norwich and two up to Leeds. Wolves don't play again until Sunday - is that fair spacing of games? Certainly not equal.

Only 28,000 at Camp Nou Molineux! Pathetic crowd.

It didn't look that many to me. Watching the goals my first thought was how sparse the crowd was.

I thought Oliver had a decent game last night, only thing he got massively wrong was not booking Ronaldo for his constant whining and attempts to cheat, if the penalty went the other way you can pretty much guarantee that Juventus would have been up in arms if it hadn't been given, no matter what they had paid and agreed beforehand.

OK? In that case I hope we get quite a few just OK goals between now and the end of the season.

Just saw the Neves goal very good but like others have said not to different from Lowton's against Stoke.

Totally agree. I think Oliver is one of the better refs.  What I like most about him is that he ref's like a robot.  Rules are programmed into his head and he executes them without showing emotion. Like last night.  He would have given that decision as a pen in the first minute the 50th minute just as he did last night in the 93rd minute.  He was in the right position to call it too so in his mind more a penalty than not.
