For some reason it does just make me sad when I see Arsenal and Wenger like this. I just remember how breathtaking they were to watch in their invincibles era and it just grieves me to see them looking so ordinary and half arsed.
So in that sense I can understand why their fans are pissed off. I just think that given what Wenger has delivered they could try to show a bit more grace about it though.

I'm not sure it would be that different anywhere else these days. There's a new generation of Arsenal fans that have watched them slipping backwards only, they're not going to be as patient as those that enjoyed the good times I suppose.

Money Citeh attempted 975 passes and completed 902, staggering.

A high percentage of which went about 5 yards

My thoughts too.

They put in a first half display at VP a number of years back that rivalled anything I have ever seen in my life. It was proper champagne football.

I still can't stand the entitled wankers and I'm glad they're suffering. Worst supporters in Britain.

Reckon it's Wenger that could do with showing a bit of grace and depart the stage before being pushed. He has been stealing a living for years and has left them back where he picked up from Bruce Rioch!

can’t disagree with that
but we have had our moments against Wengars Arsenal over the years not many but we have had them
Gabby’s win at Arsenal
Melbergs 1st ever goal at the new ground
the Santa Clause come back game st VP

although my personal favourite was pre Wengar the match when i was standing in the Clock end in the early 80’s  watching us  lose 2-0

I really can't understand the sympathy for the myopic one, who has been a leading proponent in the downgrading of the domestic cup competitions. Yes, some of his earlier teams played wonderful football, but all that should count for nothing when weighed against the moment Szczęsny and Koscielny conspired to lose the 2011 League Cup Final.

Agreed. If their level of performance had been reversed in their last two cup finals against Birmingham teams, I might be more sympathetic to their plight.

Piers Morgan on meltdown.

Was he on the normal Meltdown or 8 Out Of 10 Cats do Meltdown? Either way, how did he do?

The man has all the right instincts about football. It's a shame for him that he has no self-awareness.

If a club of chelsea’s resources can’t compete with what man city have assembled, what’s the point of it all? Have man city won english football?

No. I remember there was that kind of talk the year United walked the league and then bought Van Nistelrooy  and Veron for massive money when it didn't even seem they needed to strengthen. The following year they came third.

Tony Pulis - "If we can keep clean clean sheets between now and the end of the season we will win and draw more than we lose that's for sure".

It is hard to argue with that to be fair.

Magnificent comedy own goal from England's women tonight - the sort of goal a defence of Guzan, Ridgewell, Keowngoal and Dunne might have come up with.  (Goal is at 21.38 if you need to scroll down)
