Derby v Fulham next Saturday will be interesting !

Draw combined with a Villa win would be incredible.

Fingers crossed.

What holds Fulham back is they struggle to impose themselves away from the Cottage.

Only 7 away wins which isn't enough for second really.

Pretty sure today was only our 8th away win so there's not really much in it.

'Only' 8. How times change.

It is certainly a change for football to make us happy on a regular basis, isn't it?

For the last six or seven years, the overwhelming feeling from watching us has been one of extreme sadness. It's nice to have that change, at least for a bit.

Oh right I actually thought we were on about 10 or 11 now as we won a few in our winning 7 game winning streak.

Generally to get second you need to win 10 + so two more at least needed this season.

I've barely watched any other football for 5 or 6 years, and now I can't get enough again. I've just watched 'highlights' of the rags game, which was brilliant, they looked utterly hopeless. And that was their best bits.

I would probably be more happy with a Derby win.  I think Fulham are the bigger threat to us, and have a bit of momentum at the moment,

Starting to come back to the pack a bit...

The important thing is the fact they have been winning consistently. Criticising their scorelines would be a bit like pointing out all of Manchester United's 'Fergie time' winning goals.

Despite the wobble, if you're nine points clear in the final week of February, you've got to be confident you really can't screw it up. Although they seem to be suffering some key injuries at last, so maybe we'll see what they're made of when they rock up at a sell-out Villa Park.

A couple of key injuries and three defeats on the spin and it's back on.

Watching Barcelona vs Girona. I want to confirm that the rumour that Barcelona is a good team is indeed true. Just the 6-1 lead tonight now with 15 minutes or so to go.

Good point. They've been very lucky with injuries this season. Whereas we've had terrible luck, which continues by each match. Take 3 or 4 of their best players out and they look ordinary. To me, overall, Villa have the best squad in this league. To be where we are after so many major absentees throughout the season proves the point.

The Champions League will be their true test. Obviously they are still an excellent team and have arguably the best player on the planet in their side but for me they are the weakest Barca side for several years. A fact that domestically maybe doesn't show as the two Madrid's are also not as strong as in recent years and the rest all struggle to compete.
