I've seen it back and realised I wasn't really paying attention to the still with the line graphic - he definitely wasn't offside. I sort of tuned out after the first goal went on.

I keep hearing how spitting at an opponent is the worst thing you can do on a football pitch and how it deserves a six game ban and probably more, it is a revolting act but is it really worse than a two footed challenge that could seriously injure an opponent? The West Ham player spat at the Wigan players shirt and the ex pros are horrified, Joe Bennett makes two cowardly challenges on Man City players and will serve a ban half the length of somebody who spat.
