Other than winning a competition, for me, nothing came near in terms of excitement in football as the opening day of the season (when everyone kicked off at three-o-clock), and the third round of the FA Cup. Oh the anticipation and expectancy, a time when any club could win any competition.Sighs wistfully.

Think I'll watch the Derby-Cardiff game tonight as other than their games against us I haven't seen either, so be good to see what might be facing us in the play-offs (but then again I'll start to get optimistic if Derby win!!) There'll be a good edge to it after the postponement row.
Derby fans in the office here are bricking it and not at all hopeful. There are a few bottle jokes from the Forest faithful....
