People really getting worked up about pre season games again?

Didn't Lincoln beat us one of the summers we finished 6th under MON?

I'd say the one to judge would be Watford a week before the season as I remember last year Boro turned up and played us off the pitch and that set the tone for the start of last season when we could hardly win a game.

Off the wall I know but if the ingredients you are given are...beef . Onion. Beer  chorizo. Ginger..   .you can't make a chicken curry with it.

It is a friendly...an excersise where you try out different formations,  a chance to look at different options, and a chance to get players fit ready for the start of the season. The result really doesn't matter at the end of the day. There was a time you didn't even know when a pre season friendly was going ahead..nowadays to some people the results of a friendly is fundamental to how our season is going to pan out. Some people really need to get a grip.

I am absolutely livid at the performance. Absolute shocking stuff.

To give wickets away so cheaply. Disgusting stuff.

Was there football today?

Quality.

I don't give a shit about the result, surprisingly though I do give a shit that we look incapable of creating many chances, are still slow and ponderous on the ball, regularly gave the ball ball away, most of the players looked like they'd never seen each other before and that we struggled to take a decent throw in or set piece and still look like we have no real plan on how to win a game apart from hope something happens. That it was the same as so much of last season is why it could, or maybe should, be a concern.

Exactly, I give a shit that we have all the same problems going forward that we had for most of last season and whatever they've done so far in pre-season learning how to look like a team that know each other doesn't appear to have been on the list.  I also give a shit and that he appears to be trying to integrate Gabby, Richards and McCormack back into the team when the first 2 have stunk the squad out for ages and the latter was so unprofessional that even Bruce had enough of him last year.

Agree with both of the above.  I've been a supporter of the manager even during the dirge of January but fcuk me along with other managers he does seem to have this egotistical self destruct button that will I have almost no doubt be his downfall.  Micah fcukin Richards as Captain it defies any logic in any stratosphere.

Disclaimer: only an early preseason friendly.

Unavoidable: all the problems of last season on show. Utterly unable to create chances. No movement, no nous, just a non-functioning mass of rubbish.

McCormack is fat, Richards is shit AND a ******, and there are few things more depressing than the sight of Gabby ambling onto the pitch.

I hope John Terrys' phone conversations with his ex team mates aren't how I imagine they will be.

Jesus, shame the bookmakers don't really pay much attention to these warm up games.

Roll on Hull 3 weeks.

A lot of people are saying the result doesn't matter, imo it does can someone tell me how are we going to develope a winning mentality by playing poorly and losing?
