It's actually quite an impressive achievement to look that bad against a Division 3 side.

One paced, laborious, predicable. No ability to make or create space. No ability to move the opposition around.

That was us last season.

There has been no footballing epiphany over the summer.

Bruce has just shown that we should expect the same next season.

Plus points.....one more step towards Bruce's exit.
Minus points....life's too short...haven't got time.

lots of people seemed to think that if Bruce had a pre-season with the squad things would be better, when will we start seeing evidence of it?

Hutton at centre half is possibly the worst positional decision I've seen, he had no idea what he was doing.

Bruce out!

Richards why? Awful just like every Villa fan in the world knew he would be.

Amavi - worst left back I have ever seen play for us (and yes I saw Bernie Gallagher).

Hutton at centre back when Samba is on the bench?

Tsibola was awful. Lansbury not great. Gardner at least put an effort in.

I just don't think Bruce has a clue about tactics, or training.

The team in the first half was far better though.

He had 3/4 of a season with us...a pre season isn't and hasn't made a jot of difference. No tactics, way too deep, forwards isolated, no cohesion...oh I could go on...it's been awful under him.

My eagerness to buy tickets for the first game has just taken a battering.

Can't see any difference from last season. Complete shambles, Richards as captain sums it up.

Only Green and Davis looked the part today.
