I'm concerned that I'm going to think of a really irritating song by a talentless fat twat from Stoke every time I see one of our shirts close up.

Not bad but they look more like casual or training wear than the kit.
I would also imagine there would be some kind of design around the neck.
Also glad to see the back of that huge QuickBooks logo plastered over our shirts.

So what is the technical difference between training wear and match wear?
Or is it just another way of shifting merchandise?

I believe, and I may be way out of my depth here, "trainingwear" consists of items of clothing worn during training, whereas, by contrast, "matchwear" tends to focus more on attire which one might wear during matches.
