Having thought about this for a few days, I'd miss them. It's been a while since Villa have felt as much fun as this week so far. I've realised that I laugh much more when we play them than when we don't.

Couldn't care a less. Blues are good opponents for us, we regularly beat them.

I miss the Blues of my youth, milling around in the 3rd tier with about 12 fans watching them.

Granted, they still have 12 fans now...

Me too.  Granted, having them in the same division guarantees us points (isn't it 10 matches now we're unbeaten against them?) having them in the same division also brings home just how far the Villa have fallen.

I'm sure their forum is full of them bleating that they'd rather go down than ever want Da Vile to win. Well, I sincerely hope that we can assist you.

Do they have any semi-decent forums?  Which are the biggest, might be fun for a couple of minutes to have a nose about.

No idea. They've got Small Heath Alliance but I'd rather stand in a vat of cold sick up to my neck with both arms fully inserted into the anuses of the rotting corpses of dead sheep then spend time visiting their site(s).

They're not very happy about Xia "grassing up" Robinson over there. (Chortle)

So let's get this straight - you're going to put yourself through all that palaver and THEN visit their sites?

It's worth looking at SHA just to see how excited they are about finally getting a "TOTALLY SOLD OUT" home fixture (tenner for adults, kids for a quid). A massive 29k will be there apparently. Bless 'em.

Small Heath Alliance is well worth a look, particularly after we've just beaten them. Having said which, you can guarantee at least one thread on the front page will be about us at any given time. The levels of delusion on there are truly staggering, see the multiple threads about being in our end or turning up without a ticket and being let in. It also provides multiple examples of the Blues mentality, that strange thing where they say they love being shit as some sort of badge of honour. They don't of course, they're like all other fans in the world who want their team to win but they can't admit it. That's what 140 years in the shadows does I guess.

Some perfectly rational responses on here.

And yet. And yet.

For just about the first time in my adult life, I won't mind if we lose.  I won't be heartbroken if we win, either.  But another loss in this forgettable season won't push me over the edge.

Whereas if the tramps hang around for another season - and are actually vaguely competent next year (don't laugh, look at Olbiyun. We live in weird times) a doomsday scenario could see them derail our promotion bid.  It's the type of thing they live for.

Quite a few what ifs in that granted, but them going down removes the scenario. Far easier to patronise them and and wish them luck in League One. Or the Vanarama Bananarama Serie A, ideally.

Do they remember to say that the most expensive ticket in the ground is £10?

I bet it will be 28,500 or something with scores of seats covered in coloured netting for whatever reason.
