And Dave Shelley is on fire!

Whoo-Hoo!  I remembered to touch the elephants in the room today.  I forgot on Tuesday for which I
apologise most profusely.

Walking to the ground a coach load of Wednesday fans emptied and quickly started singing "I'd rather be a Paki than a Blade". On a UK Street, in 2017. Wankers.

I heard a group of Villa fans singing this on a train back from London after the Spurs cup game (swap Blade for Nose...)

Just home.

I have an important pronouncement.

That away strip is the most horrible I have ever seen.

Also Mile Jedinak sorting out the tartier members of our team was beautiful.  He was positively neanderthal.  Sweat streaked, cursing incoherently through his beard at his boots.  Securely my favourite player.

Johnstone actually catching the ball.

Thanks to all in L2 for helping find that lad's wedding ring when it flew off his hand celebrating the first goal.

People round by me were getting very het up about their keeper's kit potentially clashing with that of the outfield players.

Every team has its idiots. I was on the train from witton to new street after the game. A villa fan on the opposite platform was making wa**er signs at a family of Wednesday fans in our carriage whist swigging a bottle of rosé.

Anyone still regretting we missed out on Rhodes? No, thought not.

That Sheffield Wednesday supporter in the 'Rhodes' replica shirt they had playing up front for them today was terrible.

Decided to go today.First time in ages.Taylor and Chester impressed and Kodja took his goals well.Despite the injuries there appears to be the makings of a team.

Having said that Bannon bossed the midfield for a good part of the first half and had they not gone down to ten men we would have had a much tougher game.

I can't remember the last time i felt comfortable at 1-0. There was always a chance they would get one but other than the disallowed goal, they didnt create a fat lot.

A good win and one I hope gives us confidence to go on not only this season but into next. Oh and yes, their kit was bloody horrible.

I didn't see any of the game, just the highlights, so good to hear that we were comfy.  From the highlights it looked as though they had a few decent chances.  We've been on the kind of run where opposition teams score all their chances and we miss mot of ours.  Nice that it's evening out a bit.

Seems to me that our manager should be earning some plaudits for continuing to win amid mass injuries.

Topic of conversation around us was how amazing that Alan Hutton has gone from founder member of the bomb squad to Villa legend in two short years.  Leandro is the next.
