Victorious Aston Villa 2-0 Sheff Wednesday
« on: March 11, 2017, 04:56:57 PM »
Overall very comfortable. We lost a key player before the game, and one during it. We have numerous injuries. So all in all a very good afternoon.

Well done Kodjia for two well taken goals

4 wins out 5 and we should have got something from Huddersfield having been the better side. Doing ok even if it is a bit too late to affect the playoffs

We need to keep this up, build for next season and hit it with some real confidence and momentum. Build up the winning habit, even when not playing well, winning at all costs. The clean sheets are returning as well now. A good win against play off candidates.

I never thought we'd go up this year so if we can finish the season looking a candidate for automatic promotion next year I'll be happy

We're extremely reliant on kodjia for goals though. That needs to change

This win is not to be underestimated.  Real fighting against adversity somethjng that's been missing for years.  Our injury list is ridiculous however.

Excellent win, didnt expect it to be honest. 15 league goals for Kodjia - can he break the twenty goal barrier? No one has done that in the league for us since Withe in 1981! Platt got 19 twice and Benteke got 19 in his first season. Excellent win.

Another clean sheet and overall very comfortable.

It is progress, we've let 1 goal in now in 5 games is it? Just need to still build on the belief that we are the better team and try and control the game more. We still need goals from elsewhere. Green when fit might help, as with Hogan. Maybe once RHM is fit that could be another outlet?

Well done Villa.

good result, particularly with all the absentees through injury.

dont think we have conceded many since the three at the back experiment was killed, Taylor in for Amavi on the left make have made us a bit more solid too.

Are Sheff Wed the highest ranked team we have beaten at home this year?

yep Brontebilly, previously it was Fulham. I watched Soccer Saturday in local pub and pissed off the egg chasers who wanted the rugby on every telly. Tough shit. And I met another local Villa fan today in the same pub. Happy days and hello to you again mate if you are reading this!

Well done Villa. Good sporting day so far. Winnable game next week should see us comfortably in top half before the break.
