Utter shameful disgrace. They have some making up to do after this shite.

Cricket is a team game played by individuals. From what I've seen and read Footit bowled an inspirational spell so you have to give huge credit to him for that. Clearly not the start to the season that we wanted but (coughs) we go again.

Batting was a weakness last season. We've now lost Chopra and Evans. A top class opener should've been recruited. Not sure Mellor and Porterfield are the answer?

Chopra was a negative influence in the dressing room so we are better off without him. Evans didn't play championship Cricket so he left seeking that, although we may miss him in white ball Cricket.

I think that it's a little early to be writing off Mellor and Portfield after one innings. They appear to be happy with what they have, although it will be interesting to see what happens when Porterfield is away with Ireland.

Having watched the highlights this morning he was bowling over the wicket and very very straight forcing us to play at everything and then the natural deviations from hand or pitch were enough to get edges or lbw.  Clean bowled Barker with a doozy that looked like it was missing by a fair way as well.

I'd put yesterday down asa bad day against an unfamiliar bowling style and a bowler performing at his peak, A bit like the spells Broad has sometimes, you just have to admire how difficult he makes every single delivery.

Good knock from Trott, from where we were to have them batting again is a decent turn around.  The job tomorrow is to get ahead and then waste as much time as possible.  The chances of giving them a big enough chase to be able to hold on for the draw are pretty slim but it would be a brilliant result to get anything out of this.
