A few clubs and their supporters get on my tit's but I can't say I hate anyone. I'm not really bothered about how other football clubs are doing, 'i'm just interested in The Villa.Over the years my approach sometimes seems to cause me more trouble than actually hating other teams. When I tell small heath or Smethwick fans I don't hate their clubs because I just don't find their teams relevant it seems to upset them more than if I called them every name under the sun. Fuck the others...i'm one of the Villa brothers. .!

I've never been to Newcastle but I do remember, ahem, vigorously entertaining a Geordie lass overnight in my student digs in Dijon circa 1987. Ace night!

I fully expect the Barcodes to reciprocate on the pitch this Monday.

We'd been winning cup games but the only league wins were the Bitters in double week and the 4-0 at Sunderland. They were only league wins after beating Leicester early December and the Spurs game was April.
Depressing that I remember that as being a good run. Shows how goddam awful it has been over the past few years.

I live and work in the north east. I have approx 100 wotkmates; of those that care about football there's not a one of them, neither mackem nor nukeusall, that takes either themselves or their team seriously. Not even when they're playing each other.

I think people are guilty of believing the shite the tabloids and Sky roll out about Newcastle supporters and the fact there is usually a bunch of urchins hanging about St James Park to gurn for the cameras, every Newcastle fan I know finds such idiots embarrassing and are just like pretty much every other football supporter I know, passionate about their team but also don't view themselves as any better than any other supporter.

The Sunderland supporters I know just spend their time trying to convince me they are worse than Villa.

I haven't forgiven Smokey for realising Alan Wright was only 5'3".

We're getting twatted here lads. Make no mistake. Normally it's totally "Villa" to be shit and then when we're not expecting to pick anything up, get a shock result. But the last two years we're just shit. Week in, week out. We don't win when we're supposed to and we don't get surprise results.

Keeping the score down is going to be Bruce's game plan.

Totally agree with supertom, we are up for a battering if they fancy it. Saying that with Clark and Hanley as there central two we can surely grab a goal or two ourselves if Kodjia and Hogan are up for it.

Could be a long night methinks

That's the second time this week I've seen 'methinks' used and it hasn't resulted in an instant ban.

We have FAKE mods folks, terrible.

To ban or not to ban. Is that the question?

I remember thinking this last season, but where did the Richards attitude stories come from?

To it was that interview he gave not long after Garde turned up, saying how badly had been treated and how it was the foreign players fault we were going to get relegated rather than him and Lescott.

As captian of the club he should've been far more welcoming to the likes of Veretout in the dressing room but you get the feeling he was in his own little clique.

Tbh I've forgotten all about him so qualifies for the forgotten Villa players thread and he's still employed by the club ffs. Desperate times if we're thinking of playing him, he hasn't appeared since October and his fitness isn't great when he was playing every week last season.
