Well as far as we know he still as there's yet to be anything more credible than "Sky Sports sources".

It's all over Facebook and Twatter so it must be true.

Can we add a cabbage in the hand of the William McGregor statue?
Plus Whelan along side.

It was enough for some plum to get excited and change the title before we know if it's true or not  :P :-*

I hope the rumours are true that he has gone, he looked like it was an inevitability in his after match interviews last night.

My son has disowned me and claims that Whelan is now his dad and that he missed the pen on purpose. My lad has a very vivid imagination and is now very happy.

Fingers crossed we don’t jump out of the frying pan. UTV

The Express & Star understands Bruce was summoned to a meeting with chief executive Christian Purslow on Wednesday morning, where he was given the news.

An official announcement is expected later on Wednesday evening.

At this stage, it is unclear which of Bruce’s backroom staff, if any, will remain at the club.

From some dodgy website but I do not like this!

Bruce insists that he won’t be having second thoughts about his decision to walk away.

“I’m just glad it’s over,” he told Soccer on Sunday. “I rang Tim Sherwood before I took the job, and he said, ‘Don’t do it Brucey, it’s a zoo. The club stinks of death and the fans are all cross-eyed weirdos.’ I thought Tim was exaggerating, but the moment you walk into Villa Park, a terrible sadness comes over you. It’s like all the pain, the suffering, the humiliation of being Aston Villa — it’s thick in the air. You can physically taste it — a sort of broccoli flavour.”

“It’s the saddest place I’ve ever set foot,” added Bruce. “I did a tour of Auschwitz a few years back, but Villa Park is on a whole other level. If the stadium could speak, with everything that’s happened on the pitch I honestly believe it would say that it has suffered enough and just wants to die now. Bulldozing it would be a mercy killing.”

I'd like to think that when Purslow gave him the news he chuckled "ha ha it's off with me ead is it?" before it dawned on him that he was spannered.
