tis true. I'm guessing the legal arguements will be based on the type of cabbage used in the offence and obviously they will have to bring in a ballistics expert who's dealt with cabbage inflicted injuries before

I wanna know what the police are planning to charge the Phantom Cabbage Thrower with? Carrying a concealed Vegatable? Assault with a deadly salad ingrediant? . if its a public order offence won't they have to round up the other couple of thousand effing and blinding at Bruce? I mean we live in an age where you can get burgled and you're lucky if the police will turn up a day later, let alone investigate who's done it. Seems Bruce has lost his sense of humour and proportion the same time as his coaching skills.

It's nothing to do with Bruce. A missile thrown inside a football ground is high up the scale of public order offences and anyone caught for it will be lucky not to be prosecuted.

So no one screamed it in his face then. Unless we have a different definition of what that means. Shouting it where he may hear it and screaming vitriol into his face are different things to me.

Thats whay i'm saying. People throw things at a football match all the time and don't get arrested. It's a cabbage not a coin or a brick.

It doesn't matter what it is - if it's thrown at someone and can cause harm, which this obviously can, it's a missile and throwing it is an offence. Good luck to anyone going Not Guilty on that one.

What about that specific phrase is unacceptable?  I assume you'd be ok with "Steve you've failed twice, walk away and let someone who does tactics have a go" so is it the swearing or calling him fat that makes it 'vile'? Also, I refer back to the post by OMVF a page or so back, you have to remember that this is directed at Steve Bruce (Aston Villa Manager) not the person. He is proving to be useless and most of us agree he needs to fuck off if we want to be promoted.

I personally wouldn't shout abuse at someone like that, I just think some of the reactions to him getting shit from the crowd are suggesting a much bigger problem than exists and I don't really understand why.

Maybe he was just being thoughtful with the cabbage and over the coming weeks was planning on chucking on some onions, tomatoes, cucumber, pitta bread, donner meat and some chilli sauce. We'll never know if he gets the chop!
