I would take no manager right now rather than Bruce. What’s the worst that can happen? In fact I bet it wouldn’t free up the side to play a more adventurous game.

And who screamed vitriol into his face and how did they leave the stands to do that?
You don't think he turned round during the whole match?

FFS, why are you desperately trying to defend this?

You have no idea if he did, you're the one exaggerating not me.
I was sat in the Trinity and saw the abuse during the game and when he walked off.

I wanna know what the police are planning to charge the Phantom Cabbage Thrower with? Carrying a concealed Vegatable? Assault with a deadly salad ingrediant? . if its a public order offence won't they have to round up the other couple of thousand effing and blinding at Bruce? I mean we live in an age where you can get burgled and you're lucky if the police will turn up a day later, let alone investigate who's done it. Seems Bruce has lost his sense of humour and proportion the same time as his coaching skills.

It's nothing to do with Bruce. A missile thrown inside a football ground is high up the scale of public order offences and anyone caught for it will be lucky not to be prosecuted.

Depends on your definition of a missile.

It’ll be a turnip for the books if he’s still here on Saturday.  Maris Piper is bring lined up as his replacement.  There’s a meeting of the board at The Savoy taking place.  There’s going to be a Root and branch clearout.

I see Kendrick has written an article today stating that Bruce needs to go. He usually toes the line carefully so interesting that he’s taken up such a defined position.

So no one screamed it in his face then. Unless we have a different definition of what that means. Shouting it where he may hear it and screaming vitriol into his face are different things to me.

Probably thinks he's a goner so is jumping on the bandwagon.

100% correct

Just like the moron that ran on the pitch

Min £1000 fine (which I doubt he has as he could not even buy trousers that fitted him) and a 3 year all stadium ban
Was it worth it?  Once he has watched CBB and Jeremy Kyle he will probably think yes

You referred to constructive criticism, I questioned this.  So you decided to go on the attack regarding me calling the abuse vile.  If your trawl through the threads on here you will see numerous similar references to personal insults being over the top.  I was sat in the trinity.  I can assure you there was a huge amount of abuse during the second half and when he walked off.  And yes PWS, at times he was facing the crowd when this happened.

I did not attack you in the slightest, I asked how far your moral outrage extends, having given examples of things that are generally accepted at football grounds and whether you thought they were 'vile personal abuse'. I think saying that shouting things from the crowd is the same as shouting into someones face is just plain wrong, those 2 things are in no way the same thing regardless of which way the manager is facing.

On the criticism thing OMVF gets it and has made the same point, fans get very little chance raise concerns (as you rightly state) so hearing a manager call them 'hysterical' (amongst other things) is antagonistic and makes the situation worse, I'm not saying it's right or wrong and I've clearly given actions that I think cross the line but I just think the majority of the abuse that he's subjected to isn't out of line with things you regularly hear at football grounds in a number of contexts, most of which doesn't prompt post like yours (and a few others) so I'd like to know what crosses that line for you.

well yeah, so that includes footballs, season tickets, loo rolls, inflatables in fact anything that's thrown in a purposeful  direction. They may well have arrested people for that but i'm guessing they probably used common sense

He's just a Geordie Harry Redknapp.
