Absolutely. We also miss his general presence, experience, attitude and leadership. It was a gamble to bring him in as it could have been a season too far for him physically and he could have just come and cruised, happy to pick up his wages. He was the opposite of that and set a great example and showed great commitment to the cause.

As for Bruce, the national media have always been very supportive of him up to now (which is understandable as even when he was at Manure and Small Heath I thought he was a decent bloke) but the tide seems to be turning after today and the media accept he is under pressure and for the first time actually seem to be starting to accept he should be under pressure rather than defending him.

I wonder whether the players have given up on him and are awaiting his departure.

Players like Grealish, McGinn, Bree et al need a decent coach and a winning mentality - we are not currently offering these, it seems.

It was a dreadful performance, absolutely awful.  Everyone was shit except for Chester.  If you can’t get players of that quality to even get the basics right then it’s a lost cause.  Time is up, we need a change and we need it now.

I thought Chester had a mare today by his standards. His distribution was all over the shop.

It was a low bar to be our best player today, but I disagree with you.  He ball control was excellent when all around him was falling apart.  He was one of our few cool heads and I thought his distribution was fine.

If we had a team of the likes  of David Hunt , Steve Sims , Bernie Gallagher and Andy Comyn , Id say he is doing a pretty good job down there . But he has some bloody good quality at Villa   and he is
just sucking the  class out of each and everyone as they have no idea what  they are doing .  In fact hes sucked every last claret n blue blood cell out of me .
