One of the most enjoyable days at Villa Park I've had in years, that 4-1.

Brighton away. Only drew but played really well, excellently in fact.

Then Calderwood came along..

The first half we were excellent second half they dominated. The same as when we played Brentford a few weeks ago. The team seems incapable of sustaining good football for a whole game let alone a run of games.

No they didn't.

The second half down at Brighton they were clinging on.

Fucking hell, picking the bones out of a 1-1 draw at Brighton 2 years ago, if that doesn't tell you how shit Bruce is then nothing will.

Other way round then. Either way we were excellent in one half not so good in the other.

When Wolves went 1 up today they immediately brought on Traore as they knew Burnley would have to open up and come at them.
Can you imagine Bruce doing that in the same situation?

After the Brentford game he stood there taking the plaudits and smugly telling the world that this was how the team should play and had planned for it and he finally had the players available to him to play that way.

How come we have been NOWHERE, absolutely nowhere  near that level of performance since, not even close to it for a few minutes in any game ?

Seems to me that the Brentford game was despite Bruce, not because of him.

I’ll sound like a broken record but the Brentford performance wasn’t even that good. Just marginally better than the usual bilge.

One of the Sky commentators referred to it as scintillating or breathtaking (or some ridiculous description.) I do wonder how these people keep their jobs.

The first 70 minutes or so was excellent, to say it was only "marginally" better is ridiculous. Book an appointment at specsavers!

Losing 2-1?

What gets my goat the absolute most, is the bloke is fundamentally a liar.

He lied about Grealish being out for 6 months last year. He lied about John Terry being out for 3 months. He lied when he said we were 2nd from bottom when he took over 2 years ago. He makes stuff up.

Incidentally, Cardiff were effing’ bottom when he took the Villa job. Now look where they are. The bloke is a politician and someone in the press needs to start nailing him.
