I think he will survive for now.  We may be putting out feelers but i doubt we've got anyone lined up. I see him beating blackburn and rotherham so that will keep him in a job till at least the end of September sadly.

I'd be quite happy if we win  our next two matches.

I think you know exactly what he means, and whilst I never want Villa to loose, I also want Bruce to be sacked or resign as I do not believe we will be promoted with him as manager. Of course that is only my opinion.

yeah but it won't lead anywhere because they're not very good teams.  You could see him winning the next 4 games and then drawing and losing the next 4. I wouldn't be surpised if it follows that pattern all season. Not pathetic enough to sack him, not good enough to get promoted.

We all would but it would be papering over the cracks as far as Bruce is concerned.

Winning the next 2 would be 15 points from 8, which is just about acceptable, given the opposition we've had but less than we'd have hoped for.

However, the problem will still be there.

I only saw the first 35 minutes yesterday but from what I saw, it looked like the players were not playing for Bruce.  It will take some going to turn it around if he's lost the dressing room AND the fans.  In fact, it would be a first in my lifetime watching Villa.

Nowt to do with me, but I suspect the 'sadly' relates to Bruce staying rather than the two wins. I take it Blackburn and Rotherham are more gash than Ipswich and Reading? I think the chances of winning those two and getting rid of Bruce in the near future are about the same.

And for clarity, I'd love to win them both and for the owners to still feel the need for a new manager.

Me either, especially to the baggies.

I do apologise, I never want Villa not to win a game of association football

You would hope that 0 wins in the last 5 games, culminating in Saturday's embarrassment would be enough to have meant that a decision on Bruce has now been made.  If he isn't gone by Blackburn, then hopefully, 2 wins in the next 2 will not be enough to keep his job.

Not a chance.  The Chairman loves him up there. They could finish bottom and they would still want him.  They are not as money driven as most clubs.

Depends what the Owners expect. My guess is they expect us to be at least in the play-offs at the end of the season, and by the nature of that, any club even 6 points off 6th place has a reasonable chance of getting there given enough games. I don't think we were ever 6th points off 6th last season and he'd have to be doing spectacuarly bad to have written off a play off place in the near future.

Ok, thanks for clearing that up, I think. But what do you mean??

It looks an awful lot like he wants to the Villa to lose.
