Since Bruce took over we've got 96 points at home.

We have the best home form out of any side in the top four divisions over that time. Believe we've lost just 5.

It would be really interesting to see our away stats as well if they are available?

I can't be arsed to check, but that can't possibly be right.  Man City have only lost two home games in total in the last two seasons.

not sure, when Bruce came in we'd played 5 home games (I think) so he's had 42 games. In the same time I think Man City will have played 33 so even with just 2 defeats they can't have got 96 points.

Surely having more home games doesnt’t count as better form?

If they won 7 out of 7, and we won 7, lost 2 and drew 1, we’d have more points but surely worse form.

Oh and Bruce hasn’t got 96 points anyway. Fake stats!

Sorry yes it's 89. We've taken 96 in two seasons and one game. 89 under Bruce.

5 defeats against Barnsley, Ipswich, Reading, QPR and Sheffield Wednesday.

Bruce:
5 defeats
11 draws
26 wins

RDM:
1 win
4 draws

The number of defeats is great but I'd like to see us reduce the number of draws this season, and we really need more away wins.

We have won the first two games which is great and we are really wasting our time thinking that Bruce will somehow change his style of management, he has been a manager for a long time and what we see with the Villa is how he sets his teams up and always has. First keep it tight, wait for a bit of magic from someone, nick it we go home happy.

If your looking for fast, attacking, free flow football you are looking in the wrong place.

When it falls apart a little, like it has on a number of occasions with Bruce, he normally gets it switched back around in 5 or 6 games.Whether our new top men will allow him 5 or 6 games when it falters is another question.

The stats are great but if we were playing like Man City under a manager like Pep it would actually mean something

In 2018 Aston villa have scored more goals in 2018 than any side in the football league, bar Wigan

I wish he'd stop playing to nick a 1-0

It's all about the timing, last season we had 3 periods where the wheels fell off, 1 in August, 1 in December and the final one was straight after the wolves game.  They meant we were always behind the pace, which is why he's lucky to still be in the job.  If we can keep this start going and get 13-14 points by the first break then he won't have that problem so it would, even with a bad run, be more difficult to move him on.

The only stats that count are that we achieved fewer points than 3 other teams in the 17/18 seaon, and then at Wembley scored fewer goals than Fulham.

Yeah, but it doesn't feel like it. Not to me, anyway. Other than the Wolves game when we took the game to and battered a very good side, it's all felt a bit meh.

I wasn’t impressed with Fistface’s comments at all after the game, he came across as s right bellend, blaming the kids.
