Dyche is a bit of a Pulis.  Loves players who will run all day and run through a brick wall.  Neither have any flair or personality.  If we got rid of Bruce tomorrow, I would love to try to tempt Hughton from Brighton.

Way Dyche sets Burnley up is carbon copy of how MON was getting Leicester to massively overachieve in the late 90s.

That's the manager he bases himself on.

Eddie Howe would be better if you want a more modern pressing game.

I guess when we finally get our act together and get promotion it could actually co-incide with him thinking he's taken Bournemouth as far as he can.

I wouldn't even consider Dyche until he learns to clear his throat.

I’d be going Rafa if given the opportunity.

Sean Dyche is a great manager. He still lives in Northamponshire too, so Villa Park would be much less of a drag for him.

Just watched the Hull pre match press conference.
Less than a minute in before he told us ‘that’s what the championship is’.

I suppose it’s a bit of change form ‘that’s the championship’.

it's what semi-articulate managers do, as only they can do. i 'm not going to get upset by those sort of stock-in-trade remarks. It's like Danny Murphy or Glenn Hoddle attaching 'little ' to every observation.

My issue with this particular one (and "there or thereabouts") is that he uses it as an explanation when he gets things wrong. Maybe he's trying to keep things behind closed doors but I hope he's a lot more in depth about where things went wrong in private.

That bit in his interview where he says “it feels like I’m starting again”.  Well, that’s what happens when you take a short term shit-or-bust approach with no thought whatsoever for the future.

Getting his excuses in if we have a slow start. Pathetic how the press buys this crap.

Not just the press though is it?
Posters on here in the main support Bruce and lambast anyone with a different opinion.
I for one wanted him gone after his failure to get us up last season, I wonder how many of his supporters will be screaming for his head if we start off crap and then have a crap month, and so waste another season?

It's also because it's bollocks. "There" is fine, "thereabouts" isn't.

He might as well say "we'll either succeed or fail". We know that already.

It speaks volumes about his mentality, complacency, lack of planning and strategy.
For him thereabouts is good enough and the fact that he continues in a job paying beyond his worth and ability is how it’s turned out.

He'll be gone by October. The football, clichés and excuses will end fist face.

In all my years supporting this great  club I have never been so underwhelmed on the eve of a new season - the adrenalin of gaining new owners has already worn off and listening to Bruce spouting the usual cliches has left me feeling uninspired.
Hopefully there will be a shot of optimism with the arrival of a few quality players although I'm not banking on it . I just get the feeling the owners are already resigned to another season in this league - I hope not .......still waiting to hear of important appointments such as CEO and D of F
