Surely the stability came about because we had professionals playing for us such as Terry and Snoddy who would not have put up with any slackers. They have gone and I hope we can find a new owner so we can dispose of Bruce as well.

True but the discussion is about the effect he has on club stability and the evidence suggests the answer is 'not much', in part that's because he's walked away when the jobs started to require him to use the players he had rather than constantly adding to it. Given that appears to be exactly where we are now I'd say it's far from pointless.
