Yep, will find out this week i reckon. Depends how much he's viewed as an ally of Wyness but i reckon he's toast.

I'm hoping Bruce will be gone tomorrow after the meeting.

If we're referring to old black and white films: Villa Board = Keystone Cops  ;)
At least you can laugh at the Keystone cops

If Bruce stays my big lump on bet will be that, once his position is confirmed, one of his first three calls will be to Gabby.

I can see the press conference.

"I know Gabby is not everybody's cuppa tea but he is Villa through and through and he can do a job for us."
Well my first thought is that that’s ridiculous but normal rules and logic don’t apply anymore, any nightmare scenario is possible with Villa.

We are producing hilarity in spades for football fans (especially in the midlands), just not Villa fans.

He said goodbye, we said fuck off. It’s over. Don’t believe it.

Not so up here in the North West - I have spoken with fans from various clubs and without exception they have been magnanimous about our loss at Wembley and about the financial situation we find yourself in - no sniping or pisstaking just apparent genuine empathy

That’s good to hear, predictably it’s our two nearest and dearest plus Wolves (why I wonder?) and if Twitter is anything to go by, Newcastle.

You get my point Walsall Villain.  Gabby is an absurd, ridiculous notion but we are presently in a warp of suspended reality at Villa Park.  Nothing would surprise me.  Truly.  Doug buying the club.  John Terry player manager.  Anything is possible.

You kind of expect it from Small Heath and Baggies fans - Wolves fans have become overbearing this last 9 months as for Newcastle - they really haven't got over us taking the rise when they went down last -  I seem to remember us giving them a fair bit of stick - they have battered us since so should be over it by now

I got you, Brian. At the moment it really does feel as if there is nothing so outlandish that it couldn't happen to Villa.

Yep, as someone who has wanted rid of Bruce for a while, I now think we’ll be lucky to hold onto him. It’s crazy times we’re in.

Anything is possible indeed. I don’t think any of us could have mismanaged the balance sheet as badly as this crew have done. That is something I still can’t grasp, how was it possible?

I’ve continually wanted him out but now I’m confused. I don’t trust the club to make a sensible decision so I’m now thinking we should stick not twist.
