Sounds more like moaning for the sake of it.

No worries Dave, don't pull a muscle trying to keep up with the conversation.

We have more than one player who has not reached the same heights as they did for their previous club Hogan is not alone.

Agreed, wouldn't dispute that.

It would be better for everyone if you just admitted you posted something that looks stupid in hindsight.

There is a huge difference between being an effective goal scorer with the right service and a very good player.
A very good player and a very good goalscorer mean exactly the same thing when you're a striker. Goals are the currency of the game.
Yawn.

No there isn't.  If you are an effective goalscorer you are pretty much by definition a good player.  Not all very good players have a 360 degree skill set.

I've seen this debate before on here and it's total bollocks.  You don't score a lot of goals at this level of football without being a very good player.

Hogan deserved his goal last night. It was nothing to do with their being 10 men on the pitch, it was down to his persistence and forcing their keeper into a mistake.

He worked really hard all game. Several times he made cracking runs to take up good positions and the player with the ball did not spot him.

Yep, agreed, frustrating to watch but I can only think of the modern mantra of keeping possession at all costs is inhibiting players from playing the percentage ball.

It is why I still cannot fathom why Bruce was kept on last summer. Regardless of your views on stability, he was given a specific brief (the play offs) or get chopped. He didn't get close to it.
The club didn't/doesn't need more change, it needs more stability.

On appointment I said that Bruce should be given three years. I stand by that.

Why? What is the point in stability for stabilities sake? We went through Department Heads for fun a while back but I wouldn't have advocated keeping the last one on for stability when we weren't doing the job right.

You were gone for a while. Why did you come back? Every conversation you are involved is contentious.

Passing, Beat a man, First touch, skill on the ball, hold up play, first touch, winning the ball in the air, remind me how good he is at these skills.

Darren Bent has been a great goal scorer all his career yet when in the team you felt like you played with 10 men as his game contribution was non existent. Players of that ilk do nothing for 89 minutes but get one chance and "bang" it's in and the game is won
