What is ‘white-knighting’, it sounds like a drink or some sort of sex act.

It means putting yourself into a discussion to defend someone who doesn't need help.

I'm not sure what makes me feel more flattered - that paul_e thinks I can look after myself or that Drummond is willing to white knight me, which I think involves dressing up as the really badass section of the KKK for some strange reason.

If I did White-Knight' you, believe me you'd know all about it.

Truth to tell Auntie, just for your eyes only, it is not a white nightie.  It's a Harry Kane London Queens shirt.  There, I said it.  Out at last.

I didn't have you down as a fashionista, but I've found it always pays to be down with da kidz. Just you keep rockin' it: and to Hell with them scruffy doubters! Respec'. ;)

The last week is precisely why this thread will never go away as long as Bruce is manager of Aston Villa. An absolute high, confidence bubbling away nicely to two kicks in the bollocks and we are on the ground rolling around, the chance of extending the family all but gone.

If this thread has taught me anything, it's what white-knighting is, although it is a ridiculous accusation to make.  For that reason, Bruce in.

Wasn't George Michael arrested for it in LA?

Does that mean that you are white-knighting me about white-knighting?

Correction, I always thought he'd been done for swallowing some blokes dick in a public lavatory in LA but it turns out he'd only been interfering with himself. I'm not sure there is a general urban term for that but the LA police called it 'commiting a lewd act'.

So which does that make it better for us to get in the play-off semi-finals - Derby or Middlesbrough?

I'm not sure but since it was a lesser offence than I envisaged and old George and Brucey could almost be twins, I'm Bruce In.

No it was just a careless wispa -  which I presume is just a euphemism for a sexual act with a Cadburys chocolate bar

And I thought that was Marianne Faithful, although thinking about it that was alleged to have been with an alternative chocolate brand.
