Can’t get it round my head that such an experienced football nan has read the whole situation with terry so obviously wrong.

Was it ever a goer in the first place?  I might've missed it, but can't recall anybody at the club saying we were looking to resign him.

His hair has, it must be admitted, experienced a lot of football.

There's some great pictures on that page. I don't really use Twitter so it's just a shame that you can't seem to search on a page for just Villa related pics.

One of the comments on there:

"Ron Saunders wanted both Mark Chamberlain and Lee Chapman at Villa but the board wouldn't sanction it. Along with disagreement over his own contract, one of the reasons he walked out in 1982."

Never heard that before. Dunno if it's true.

Look at the state of that ball Sid is holding, before kick off! Looks like one left in the bushes over the park for a few months. How times have changed.

I love my days out watching the villa but I'm afraid the longer we leave this idiot in charge the more inclined I am to knock it on the head and spend my hard earned cash on something else...Shame but 50 years of going and it's this manager that has all but finished me and by Christ I have seen some shit managers.

totally agree a few weeks into the season and I'm back on prozac. Fortunately I am away visiting family who are now in Helsinki for a few weeks, so will escape the shite Bruce dishes up, leaving me to concentrate on roast pike and reindeer pie

Exactly this. I’ll never stop going but if I was a 6, 7, 8 year old I don’t think I would support Bruce’s Villa. That’s surely a problem!! I’ve said before that Bruce is taking us backwards not forward and this is partly what I meant. We have become Steve Bruce’s Villa and that’s bordering on a disaster

Doubt I’d have attended any matches the last few seasons of it wasn’t for my son, love our days out to Villa Park and as he’s said in the past it’s usually the match that is the only thing that he doesn’t enjoy! Last week at Bramall Lane he made me promise I wouldn’t make him miss a Harrogate Town match for Villa again, he’d rather watch non league than the current Villa team.

I think we need to allow time to see how all this pans out in the short term. Sack Bruce and there would be uncertainty with no immediate option to do much about it player wise.  I would not say I am jumping for joy but be careful what we wish for immediately. We certainly don’t want another garde situation

Yes.
I never want to see the performance I saw at Bramall Lane ever again.
He just can't do the job and is destroying us
