Gone to shit since calderwood came in as assistant! Coincidence? Probably, but just a thought

Said this earlier.

Results since Bruce came in, until Calderwood started was DWWDWD.

Results since Calderwood became assistant was WLWLWWDLLLDLLLL.

You can't exactly pinpoint it on Calderwood, but he could be part of problem coupled with 'gate gate', AFCON, mid season squad change..

Ok, what about since we changed keepers?

Ok so Gollini last played against Norwich which from Bruce starting was:

DWWDWDWLWL

Then Bunn started next four:

WWDL

Then Johnstone since:

LLDLLLL

Speaks for itself really.

Surely part of the problem? Bruce helped make us more solid at the back when he arrived now we're as bad as ever. Drop him and let Man Utd develop their own players FFS. I'm not a fan
Of Bunn but he's got to be better.

Surely the management team are capable of this type of simple analysis?

couldn't agree more in terms of having a  boss as your goalkeeper.  All winning teams start with a decent keeper.

It's often quoted, mainly by me on Twitter, that Brian Clough said a decent keeper will win you ten points a season. That's why he bought Peter Shilton. By my reckoning, shite keepers have cost us more than that in six months.

the problem we will have in the summer is trying  to attract decent players to the club.  They will look at us  as a spent item.

I bailed with 5 to go and walking down Witton Lane to go to the train station and hearing Barnsley fans, fucking Barnsley, "oleing" as they leave VP with 3 points is a pretty fucking good low.

As for the game, we played well at times yet again,  and yet again we lost. Hogan and Amavi were shit, so is football.

The keeper is just dreadful.  I've rewatched the goals, and even allowing for the defensive fuck ups in front of him, he does really badly.  He goes down in installments for the second which was just a tame shot from a random swing of the leg, and is beaten far too easily at his near post for the third.  Absolutely horrendous, and I think his lack of ability is making the defence panic.

Another dismal night if your a Villa fan .I am starting to think maybe there is a curse on the club When you think of the money spent on McCormack and Hogan alone and then see Bent (another two tonight to add to his two Saturday) and Robinson scoring regularly and we gave them away it makes you wonder

I suspect that's the current problem at all levels within the club. Bernstein in his resignation letter spoke about the complete review and overhaul required, which was rejected by Lerner. It looks to me that the review was never done by the current owner given the chaotic chopping and changing that has gone on this season.Nothing structured just the continual throwing away of money.

There is something fundamentally wrong at our club.

The bus ride to the the train station was ghastly.

The train journey was even ghastlier.

The so called football was ghastly beyond belief.

The train ride back was so ghastly that we disembarked at a station which left us with a 3 mile walk.

A person can only take so much ghastliness, and I shall be spending no more money or emotional energy on this unmitigated shower of shit this season. Thank The Almighty that the cricket season starts earlier each year.

Predictable result (ish) & completely unacceptable.

Bruce OUT (unless Scunthorpe on a Tuesday night is on your 'must do' list in 2017).

I was about to say.  Isn't it about time we had a 'Taylor Report' type investigation to try and get to the root cause of the issues engulfing the club?

I wonder when the last time was that so few were in VP for a league game? I reckon there was around 22-23K actually in the ground tonight.

We were still getting some sub 20K attendances into at least 92/93.

Early 92/93 under BFR I think we had some sub 23k crowds in the league.  Unbelieveable isn't it as those really were halcyon days
