All McGregor really had was his size.

Pretty straight forward for Mayweather after the first 2 rounds. I had to switch streams a few times as they kept getting shut down.

In fairness for his first pro boxing match he did alright.

Yes, all things considered he did OK.

He did okish, although Mayweather could have stopped that whenever he wanted in all fairness.

Let's put it into perspective though.

McGregor lost to a 40 year old who has been eating cheeseburgers for two years.

McGregor is at his peak. He wouldn't have lasted 2 rounds against Mayweather in his prime, or against a current boxing champion of equal weight.

What surprised me was how little "bite" there seemed to be on McGregor's punches - even at the start of the fight. Of course, he was up against the supreme defensive boxer of all time, but his shots seemed laboured, with nothing behind them. And then he tailed off from there...

What surprised me is how quickly he tired, a young man at his physical peak, compared to the 40 year old, two year retired, Mayweather.

Mayweather has not always been one of my favourites, but this just goes to prove, if proof were needed, what an amazing boxer he really was.

I thought McGregor was just an irritating loudmouth not knowing anything about the sport he excels in but doing 10 rounds against one of the best boxers of all times deserves respect.

Mayweather hadn't knocked anyone out in about 10 years. If the ref had let it go a little longer McGregor would have gone out on a stretcher.

Mayweather was toying with a man he knew had no power.

He's never trained for that length of fight before. MMA is 25 minutes maximum.

Agreed.

MMA fighters do not have the stamina and fitness of boxers. Even a 29 year old MMA champion when pitted against a two year retired 40 year old boxer.
