Yeah, now confirmed. Shame, as that was one of the best fights I've seen at heavyweight.

I am struggling to see the excitement about this Mayweather and McGregor fight.

Three rounds maximum.  Less if Mayweather wants it.

Whoever is promoting / sanctioning that fight should be in the hook for manslaughter charges if the worst does happen - putting an amateur in with one of the all time greats is foolish bordering on dangerous.

Mayweather will be in exhibition mode.  Total non-event.

I hope it goes 12 rounds and that Mayweather toys with him the whole way through.

As for Klitschko, he obviously felt that fight and doesn't want the pain again. He'd have retired if he'd won too.

Think so too.  It will be interesting to see how history remembers him, as he fought at a time when there were practically no opponents in his class (apart from his brother) and it all became a bit of a boring procession.  The Joshua fight really brought the best out in him and it is a shame that he didn't have more challenges like that throughout his career.

I am planning to (we'll see how enthusiastic I may be at 4am and knackered and still waiting...), but it's very much despite my own better judgement. I know it'll be terribly dull, regardless, as most Mayweather fights are. It's just the stupid hope that maybe McGregor can pull something out of the bag. More fool me...

I'm going to sit up and watch it - I reckon I'll regret it afterwards especially as I want to be up for GoT tomorrow but I'm looking forward to it at the minute!

I'm staying up. McGregor has been talking a lot of shit since this was announced, time to see if he can back it up.

Shame for Cleverly there but the referee made the right call, he was getting mullered.

McGregor dead on his feet, think Mayweather to drop him round 10 or 11.
