I know I'm probably drawing a long bow here but you also have to wonder at Jimmy Anderson's involvement in this, sure he was the recipient but you don't generally get a drink poured over your head for nothing, paricularly when its a junior squad member. Don't forget, Anderson has form for this when he was in cahoots with Swann and Broad when the were winding up KP.

 And how on earth, with all that's gone on recently, were they in a bar after Midnight again having the kind of heated arguments that leads to this type of thing. When does someone show the maturity to step in and calms potential situation down before it gets this far. This is looking more and more like a flipping lads holiday.

First night after the midnight curfew (imposed after Bairstow's indiscretion) had been lifted apparently.  I think it is becoming apparent that there is a problem in that set up both on and off the field.

The thing is it doesn't really matter how minor the Bairstow incident or this one were. They need to realise they have to behave impeccably or noise will be made. Also when you're 2-0 down and facing right down the barrel then being out on the piss doesn't really send out the right message.

It really does feel like the wheels are off, I would be astounded if we don't hammered in Perth. Our big problem is hardly any of our batsmen, none on this tour, are getting big runs.

If he comes home he can do whatever he wants over the Christmas period. He’s had problems with alcohol and fitness before and I wouldn’t be surprised if he asked to stay to try to right a few wrongs - be interesting to see if he bucks his ideas up and also whether he gets picked for the lions tour in February. I’d say he’s at a crossroads as far as England  chances are concerned

Maybe that's why such a fuss is being made, it wasn't one of the official sponsors.

I wouldn't change any of the team unless it's a raging turner, but I'd adjust the order:

Cook
Stoneman
Root
Vince
Malan
Bairstow
Moeen
Woakes
Overton
Broad
Anderson

I don't think there are any replacements who can really improve the team now. But that line up breaks up the left handers more and gets Bairstow in earlier. Also Root needs to dominate now, so 3 makes sense.

I wish, but we've seen this film before I'm afraid. With a favourable wind we might get to 220-250, but they'll hit somewhere around 400, skittle us and win either by an innings or 10 wickets.

Stoneman got a shocker off the third umpire, how can the third umpire overall the on field umpire with conclusive proof? Looks like a snick off the helmet or top of his shoulder.
