Terrible last over from Jimmy. Total waste sums up day’s play as it could have been so much better.

Yeah sounds like we didn't bowl well first up either. Thing is if we're going to stand a chance here we need to do everything perfectly. We need an amazing first hour tomorrow now.

Final session was much better. Still we're behind in the game thanks largely to taking half the day to get into the contest.

You'd think if the plan was to bowl first if we won the toss (or lost it presumably as Australia would've batted) we'd have been ready and psyched up, instead we were half asleep and just seemed to go through the motions. I saw nothing today to make me think we can turn this series around, least of all body language and doing the little things right.

Australia's day, a couple of early wickets needed tomorrow.

Yes, what looks like a fairly even session is nothing of the sort really, given how much better Australia's attack and batting options down the order are. 200-6 or 7 would have looked much better, but as Oz says early on the bowlers were just going through the motions.  Probably should have batted first, but then we'd have probably had a 180/7 sort of day if we had.  I just have no confidence in this England team at the moment.  The bowlers just aren't firing, and the batsmen are going to have to do a lot better as well.

England need an absolutely stunning day tomorrow to get ahead in this game. We need to come out and run through them and then bat and give them nothing.

A crucial first session in Adelaide possibly the most important passage of play in the entire series.

RIGHT!!!!!!! Lets do this

Anderson and Broad need a very early breakthrough. 2 wickets in the first two overs will do. Not expecting miracles.
