Kwiff - who thought of that name?  Sounds like something from Terrance and Phillip.  (Assuming you're seeing the same ads as me)

It's not played like a bowl first pitch at all yet.  Let's see if it behaves different once the sun goes down.

And Overton has a face straight out of the 1960s.

30 overs gone, Aus 74-1 the wicket being a run out, if that were a session, after putting in Australia, I'd be starting to really worry if I were Joe Root.

Overton was the name of the family across the road from us who we shared a 'party line' telephone with in the seventies.

Nowadays a 'party line' is a premium rate phone line advertised on TV late at night where you can apparently "make new friends over the phone". Which to me always appears to be the best chance to possibly meet a serial killer.

And now a through the legs miss field goes for 4. Quite honestly, England has been diabolical with the ball and in the field so far.

The only other reason we could have to bowl first, is that we were so terrified of what their bowlers would do to our batting that putting them in was the lesser of two evils.  You never bowl first in Australia.

How many more of their players are we going to help get their form back I wonder?

England just haven't looked switched on and up for it at all. I'm wondering how many of the players really wanted to bowl first as we've looked like a side that just didn't fancy being out here.

Our ground fielding really has been atrocious, easy singles taken to Woakes at mid on, Vince's one that went through his legs wouldve embarrassed a parks cricketer, even the run out was due to a Moen miss field. We need a break quickly.

Ooh, needed that.  Warner gone, and that's the second good thing Woakes has done today after the run out.

Kawaja dropped, should have been taken. A passage of of play that pretty much summed up our day so far.

Considering he's arguably the best batsman in the World, Steve Smith is horrible to watch.

I'm lost, are we in the "morning", "afternoon" or "evening" session right now?
