What was going on in the lower North? The Villa fans seemed very animated towards the Burton fans. I was in the north lower, burton was singing some Saville song. A fat bold burton fan with glasses was spotted and there were chants of peado at him.Damn! Wish I'd been there.

I do hope you didn't join in that chant?

Nice decent people. Thursday night scum will turn up and stink the place out. Not for me, burton's support resembled a SWP rally, they all looked the same all in wooly hats and scarves to match. Leeds have more traditional away support nearly all male and majority not in club colours, manures is the same. I would say our away support is 70% male not in club colours.Fans attend December match in hats and scarves, shocker. What exactly is your point? Are you saying the Burton fans weren't a serious 'crew'? Not enough mouth foaming, knuckle dragging Neanderthals? If so, that supports my opinion of them. Seemingly genuine, decent football supporters enjoying one of the biggest days out they are likely to experience in the league. supporters dressed all in official merchandise are not individuals.

Seemingly genuine, decent football supporters enjoying one of the biggest days out they are likely to experience in the league. supporters dressed all in official merchandise are not individuals.I would have a very different interpretation. Many away travelling fans feel the need to travel without team colours to avoid unnecessary confrontation from your typical meat-head who might target a fan, I don't know, maybe being a paedo for example. Whereas the Burton Albion fans, realising that a Boxing Day game with a larger and unhostile neighbour would allow them more freedom to where their official merchandise.
The clock is definitely ticking, I would imagine about one more hour.
I cannot let the Burton thread sink below the waves without thanking them for immortalising Gabby in their club badge.
I wouldn't really call them a neighbour.
