Poor game. We looked very championship

Not playing jack is a bad decision as he has something no one else does

Far from poor. We won away on sky for the first time in donkeys, kept them out for 95 minutes resulting in them having zero shots on target. We were the better side and deserved to win.

A truer reflection of the game was it should of ended 0-3.

QPR are poor and you have to beat what's put in front of you. We played ok though and were comfortable rather than spectacular.  If we can get suitable replacements in for Gardner, Bacuna and a centre forward, who knows where we might end up. Bacuna did ok today to be fair but we need a left winger.

We could always try Green and Hepburn-Murphy.

We were awful first half, slightly better second half. Our tempo is far too slow and pedestrian and our passing is woeful. Luckily for us QPR are on par with Rotherham as the worst team I've seen this season. Not once did I think they would score.

Burton are also poor and beating them won't make anyone take notice. Beating Leeds will make me and a few others start to believe we could go on a run.

Average performance at best, against a crap team, missed penalty, cracking goal, Merry Christmas Villa family one and all.

Like others have said, we made hard work of it but I thought we deserved it without playing that well. It looks like we've found a decent centre half pairing in Baker and Chester and Bunn is nowhere near as poor as some make him out to be although he didn't have a great deal to do. We also need to take Kodjia off penalties. Keepers know where he's going to put them and besides, we have Jedinak who takes them for his country.

Well done Villa, we did what we had to do. I needed that result after a particularly shit week.

We definitely deserved the win

QPR were very poor as is this league generally

Our passing is woeful still. Hutton, Jedinak, Gardner, Bacuna particular culprits

I've only seen the highlights but from what I've seen we created a lot of chances and should have won 3 or 4-0.

After creating nothing at Norwich at least we created lots of chances today.

What made it more enjoyable was hearing Gollum lookalike Holloway bleating in his post match interview. What a ******.

Shit in the first half, absolutely rubbish, but a bit more steady in the second. Felt sorry for the Rangers fan in the sombrero with the rattle and the vuvuzela who was getting some unnecessary stick in front of his family. At one point he was standing up shouting "chips and gravy" in a poor Brummie accent. The fat fella near the touchline deserved all the abuse he received though.

Feeling a bit rough this morning, must've been something I ate....

After creating nothing at Norwich at least we created lots of chances today.

We should have had three penalties alright but more for daft QPR defending rather than good attacking play.

Two good shots in quick succession from Kodjia and Bacuna forced good saves, Gestede butchered his chance late on. Still concerning that were are unable to play through teams, can't seem to get Amavi in behind either.

Nearly all our good play came from Kodjia getting a ball in one of the channels, turning his man and running with it. We won't get away with that against most teams in this division. Was good to see Gardner breaking forward well yesterday in the no.8 role, should have had a pen and was very close to a cracking Amavi cross.
The quality of the opposition has to be taken into account though, don't think we would have got away with that team v Leeds or Norwich either.
