Also, there was an ovation, rather than an egging, for Tim F. Sherwood from our fans. Baffling.
That is very, very worrying.
Why? He saved us from relegation and took us to a cup final including the memorable  semi final win so well done to our away supporters.

He didn't save us from relegation, he set us up beautifully for it.

The blame for that should be laid entirely at Randy Lerner's door. Sherwood was a symptom not a cause.

If it was towards the fella in the sombrero, I thought 'paedo' and 'build the wall' were a bit strong.

He didn't save us from relegation, he set us up beautifully for it.

He did both in truth, showing what we suspected - he has a short-term ability to lift and motivate a team but clueless in the day-to-day, longer-term running of it. Personally I'd neither boo nor give an ovation for those reasons. He does, in all honesty, seem a kind of a bellend though.

Lerner was ultimately responsible, but blaming him entirely lets an awful lot of incompetent chancers off the hook. Sherwood was an inept gobshite who left a demoralised, unfit and divided squad behind him. I don't see why his massive contribution to our demise should be overlooked.

QPR really were shocking today, their keeper made some great saves but should have done better for the goal. But their outfield players, you couldn't pick out one that was any way decent. Holloway seems a terrible appointment

He is a joke manager who has no idea what he is doing. QPR fans are deluded if they expect anything from him. They need to get a real manager in as quickly as possible.

I see where you're both coming from but I think the latter part of his spell with us suggests that it was Benteke, Grealish, Sinclair et al who gave us those days rather than the gobshite himself.

Yeah and he talks well of the club and the fans, so no hard feelings from me. He was a symptom not the cause.

As for the game, always good to get a win and we deserved it too. Can't wait for Boxing Day now!

Just home and the missus aint happy, though made sure the lad was home first. Great day, was in the pub before ten and a few beers. Thought Baker and Jedinak were immense but we were chatting in pub after and discussing how James Chester gets on with his job without it being obvious. Out of the three of them, will go for Baker.
