Dirtiest team and worst ref we have had this season. Thought Cardiff were better than their current league position and played some good stuff at times. Jedinak is a throwback to the seventies, a proper midfielder who can tackle and head a ball and when he gets whacked he doesn't whinge about it he just gets on with the game. I love my Saturdays again thank you Mr Bruce.

They were by far the better of the teams and will consider themselves unlucky not to have taken back to South Wales with them.

Not sure that was right, they were a typical Warnock team, scrapping, niggling and fouling. Not sure how the No.17 managed to evade a booking for so long, every time Grealish got the ball he went through the back of him. Equally not sure how Lambert was still on the pitch to score after the two handed push on the ref after whatever happened on the halfway line. All in all a good victory and a deserved 3 points.

Let them have the "unlucky" points. We will take the real points.

I feel some sympathy for them. Terrible owner, awful plodder of a manager, garbage players who always find a way to lose. Been there. Dont want to go back.

I read earlier today that Grealish was the most fouled player in the Championship (42) and he added another 11 today (I counted)! Cardiff were fouling as a tag team all match.

Apart from Grealish, I agree Jedinak and Chester played very well and Adomah did well too.

Gollini had very little to do,  but to me he doesn't exude enough confidence yet. If we can strengthen there in January along with the centre of midfield we'll have a chance. Just have to keep this run going up to the end of the year.

Their number 17 was a dirty, cheating, whining fucking ****** and he should have been off before I finished the half time curry sauce and chips.

Jedinak, Jack and Amavi were superb.
Agreed, but a special mention for Chester.
I thought he was superb today.
these four were very, very good today, in a game that was continually spoiled by a cynical opposition and a crap ref.

I don't like this Oasis bollocks at the end though.

If they play DLBIA every time we win at home, I hope we're all thoroughly sick of it by the end of the season! You just gotta roll with it... ;)

Whatever.

Thrilled with how we are shaping up under the Doc and Mr.Bruce and genuinely excited about January.
Mirror in the Bathroom for me because I like the Beat and who doesn't like a random tune like that.

I'm going to repeat my suggestion for The Twang's "Either Way" for the following reasons:

Brummie band
Lead singer is a big Villa fan
The chorus of "I feel so much better today, chase the bad things away" is MUCH more appropriate than the chorus to Don't Look Back In anger.  In fact most of the lyrics seem kind of fitting.
The chorus is a bit of a laddish chant that's easy to sing and would catch on I reckon.

Yeah I feel better today, I think that shit was just a phase,
My whole outlook's changed, I've even stopped feelin' strange.
I can understand why you was mad now,
Why should you be the one who has to loose out, just 'cause I'm on one?
I said "I'm always gonna have shit going on!"

I feel so much better today, chase the bad things away.

I was glad I turned the corner man, 'cause I was sick of feelin' rough
I was getting paranoid about the silliest of stuff.
I was at me wit?s end pulling my hair out, I'd just about had enough.
And all I needed was just a hug and that little bit of love.

I feel so much better today, chase the bad things away.

And I really do feel so much better, I really do feel so much better.
And I've gotta find my phone to tell yer,
Maybe even write you a love letter.
Either way I've gotta tell ya, either way I've gotta tell ya,

I feel so much better today, I've chased the bad things away.

And yeah I really do feel better and it almost don?t feel right,
So I'm gonna store this thought away for a bit,
And I'm not saying it ain't gonna be hard at times,
'Cause it's always your favourite top you bin,
But think man it could have been your skin.
And I think we might just be OK, but what does it matter either way,
'Cause she's the one that's always there.
Yeah she's the one that always cares.
Yeah she's the one that always there.
'cause your the one that always cares.
I love ya.
I've gotta find my phone to tell 'er
Ah, maybe even write you a love letter.
Ah, either way I've gotta tell ya, either way I've gotta tell ya,
Ah either way I've gotta tell ya, either way I've gotta tell ya,
Either way either way either way (lots of either ways)

Grealish played really well, as did Amavi and Jedinak.  I thought Gabby changed the game when he came on too, despite his one on one fail.  Ayew was less than useless.  He looks like he doesn't give a monkeys.  Replace Westwood and Hutton and we will be way too much for anybody in this league.

Special mention for Joe Bennett.  I thought he played really well today, fair play to him.

Chester looked completely at fault for their goal to me, Micah Richards esque stuff running out to the ball leaving Lambert behind him

I've always like Joe, if he arrived at Villa during different times (like many) he might have done well.

We've been so mismanaged for so long. In hindsight we might have missed a trick when MON scarpered in not appointing someone like Bruce back then. I wonder how Hughes would have done if he got the job when it looked a dead cert.

I always think about the final scene from Our Friends in the North when I hear Don't look back in Anger
