Kevin Toner has joined Bradford City on loan.

Toner heads to the League One Bantams until the end of the season.

The 20-year-old signed a new two-year deal with us in August 2016 before spending time with Walsall on loan.

Toner made his senior breakthrough in the 2015/16 campaign.

The centre-back was introduced at half-time in the Villa Park meeting with Southampton in April 2016 and started our final trio of matches.

We've now replaced the core of the side three times in 18 months

We need to calm this shit down, focus on coaching and build a settled side with an established pattern of play over the rest of this season

Oh and stay up

Exactly what I've  been saying for a while.  Everyone loves the anticipation and hope of new signings but in reality they just add extra dimensions of confusion to the team and an additional workload on the coaches.

Not when your squad was utter, utter shite.  When your actual team is utter shite, you need a new one. We now have a better set of players - up to Bruce and co to deliver better results.

Kinda.  The fact we swap manager every season gives each manager a legitimate excuse to buy new players to fit their system.  However I'm not sure any of them actually have a plan or defined system, they just prefer to buy known players rather than coaching what is already there.  If we utilised what we have better, the same money could be spent in a more focused manner.

You think Bruce doesn't know about coaching a team then?  I realise tonight result leaves this open for debate and all but...

More the club than Bruce.  We are in a period of transition so I cannot isolate Bruce as the problem, it goes way further back.
But from what I have read about other clubs; recently Brentford, Spurs and Saracens our training seem to lack both focus and intensity.

In fairness, that sort of education might be happening under Bruce, however it's not been publicised if it is.

Just seen on Facebook an interview where he said - to paraphrase - we need to find a system and formation that suits the players.  Shouldn't that be the other way around?  You sign players to suit your system!

No wonder players come in and go shit, you cannot reasonably expect an attacking player (Lansbury?) to anchor the midfield.

I'm paraphrasing slightly but that was the gist of it. It was in answer to a question about how excited was he to get Scott Hogan in.
