If we are signing Scott Hogan for £10m+ I hope we've done our homework, the last thing we need is another striker that in 6 months time achieves nothing more than doubling their body weight and getting stuck in their front door.

Our wage budget must be huge now. Let's hope they have done their maths right and we are not in a financial hole.

Crazy spend!

I'd so love to see the back of Richards and Gabby this window.

We've shifted a few players too, and if Ayew, Westwood and McCormack goes that's a bit more off the bill. I don't know that we are spending that much more after January than before are we?

Cant we just enjoy the expectation and anticipation before writing this one off ?

Gabby isn't going anywhere and Richards is knackered so both will be around for a bit. I'd like to have seen Kozak go becauase outside of carrying bibs and oranges not sure what he does at the club anymore.

I thought Richards was ok now? I forgot about Kozak (which is a fair shout) but I can live with him carrying the bibs and handing out the oranges (at least he has a good reason for being how he is following his injury) plus I don't think he's on anywhere near the wages or the length of contract of those two.

I agree, this has all the hall marks of when Lerner let loose O'Neill with the cheque book, and the wage bill became unmanageable, we need to balance the books and players need to be gone, there is no guarantee that we will get promoted, this is not like the Premier League where survival will do!

If we don't start well next season then we could be in a financial mess, I hope that Dr Tony has very deep pockets, and can continue to afford our yearly losses (this season I would estimate it will be £50 million +)

Not sure about that!

It's nothing like MON/Lerner because MON refused to sell the players he spent a fortune on getting in. They just sat on the bench gathering dust and he went out asking for more. The net spend for those who are counting isn't going to be overwhelming and the wages have been offset in part by sales. Plus most importantly there is a togetherness regarding the direction of the club versus what it was when MON ran the show.

We aren't signing BIG names on BIG wages though are we ? and we're letting some of the ones that are go. If anything i'd expect our wage bill to decrease accordingly

Ins
Lansbury
Bree
Hourihane
Taylor
Hogan
Johnstone
Bjornason

Outs
Ayew
Gestede
Westwood
Cissokho

Basically we've spent a couple of million  on that lot, very good business on paper. We should bum this division next year.
