It was never going to be Hogan as Bruce said the deal was 'really close'.  Just people on Twitter grasping at straws. Would have been nice though. Unless we get Long, or Jay Rodriguez? (Loan?).

Well well, breaking news, Hogan NOT going to West Ham, Sky Sports.

Just logged on, another mental day of transfers and speculation. What must Remi Garde be thinking?

Have West Ham got any decent forwards we might go for? I don't really bother watching much of the tainted "Premier" League?

Yes Ashley Fletcher loan option .

He should be thinking 'had I actually managed to pick up a win or two in my first 9/10 games I might have been allowed to play this transfer game'

I see the club have had a grand total of ZERO suitors for McCormack thus far. We can but hope there's gonna be somebody desperate enough to grab a bloated bit o' 'bargain' tat before the window slams firmly shut...

How did I manage to get that much money for winning just 2 games in 20?

Did like this quote courtesy of Villa Report on Twitter via the Daily Hate:

Bruce: "Could I attract Bjarnason to the Championship? Luckily the big thing I've got up my sleeve is, we're Aston Villa" [daily mail] #avfc

Really hope Bruce brings in a new striker today to replace Ayew. If not, forget challenging for the play-offs. We have no strength in depth up front. What happens if Kodjia or Gabby are injured? I'm disappointed with the way strikers are sold without replacements.

Villa now favourites to sign Hogan, according to 'Sky sources.'

Probably just that twat with all the phones regurgitating what he's read on twitter.

A striker is a must today agreed villa first.  We pretty much have Kodjia and that's it now. The Gabby side show doesn't count, he can't score and never looks like doing so.  Even when he bulldozed the ball towards the goal last week Adomah had to make sure.

We could do with a couple of forwards still.  Winger come striker and out and out striker.

It's going to be an interesting day at Villa Park. It's nice to reach the last day of the transfer window safe in the knowledge that we are out there trying to do business to strengthen areas of the team that require attention.

Previous last days have been a bit of a damp squib. Yes of course it can all go pear shaped but I really like the way that Round and Bruce have gone about things in this window.
