The jury isn't out on either Grealish or Ayew.

Ayew isn't up to much.  We know Grealish 'could be' the real deal.

Depends on how much the management value the 'could be'.

The jury is out. Plenty of people have your views but the other way round.

I don't want to see Grealish leave, he would be very low on my list of who I want to go (Gabby is top of my list to go)

I just want to see him show more than what he is currently doing, (Bruce must have the same opinion as he does leave him on the bench regularly), he should be a stand out player in this division, if he has aspirations to play for his country he needs to up his game.

Is there a player in the whole squad who couldn't show anymore than he's doing now? Who choose the one player who has actually got a bit of skill on the ball to leave? It's madness.

I'm not someone who enjoys antagonising people with differing views but Jack and Ayew are very decisive when evaluating their contribution to AVFC. Obviously both are talented but still they haven't stepped up. Cast your mind back to pre season when we were having this very conversation. Fans of Jack and Ayew were telling detractors in no uncertain terms we were mental and that "I just can't understand why fans want rid of our best players?".

Apparently, they were going to tear this league a new arsehole.......

Yeah, but I'm right and they're wrong.

I'd agree with you on Ayew. He hasn't fitted in very well so far, although it would be interesting to see how he does played as a striker with a new  midfield behind him. I think he is one that Bruce would sell though if he was offered enough.

Ayew is a tricky one, I rate him but wouldn't have him upfront ahread of Kodjia and wouldn't start him wide ahead of Adomah.

I think Ayew's best position may be just off a main striker (and maybe Grealish's too).

He has some real ability, but somehow it just hasn't happened for him.

I think he will turn out a bit like Hendrie.

Sadly, the only place where he currently competes with the tangerine-one is his off-the-field antics. He isn't anywhere close to Hendrie on the pitch and wouldn't be in my starting XI for Tuesday. I think we still need to give him a bit more time to see if he can blossom into the player we all hope he can be. Time will tell.

I am disappointed with Ayew this season. He's not done anywhere near as much as I think he's capable of. He's a very talented player.

I don't think we'd sell Grealish and I would hope that we keep hold of him. He has bags of potential to become a match winner as he can do things nobody else in our squad can. I'd hope to see him benefit from having more quality in the midfield.

He's been poor of late, but ultimately he's 21 and has a lot to learn, but similarly a lot to offer.

Not sure why some are surprised that a few of us are indifferent about the possibility of losing a player who really hasn't contributed anywhere near enough.  Sure he has technique, but so did Delfounso.  What he didn't have was the drive and commitment to establish his self, and I don't see that in Grealish either.  He didn't really stand out when playing at Notts County, and he doesn't stand out anywhere near as much as his inherent talent should allow him to. It's not all about natural talent and at the age of 21 he's not really a kid any ore.   If we could get silly money for him and reinvest it, it really wouldn't bother me.

I think Jack has developed this season in that he has filled out & is actively trying to contribute defensively which he didn't do previously - it would be foolhardy to cut him out just as we are trying to bring in midfielders who will improve us.  His challenge now is to get into the team and perform at a level to stay there.  He is still v young and needs time to develop fully as he has carried a hell of a weight of expectation in a garbage team.

I was probably one of them, I do remember saying that they had the potential to be amongst the best players in the division. I think partly it was me not understanding the nature of this league and partly down to the players. In Ayew's case I think other than the odd flash he has been a major disappointment; Grealish has been kicked from pillar to post, there was a stat a few weeks ago showing him to be the most fouled player in the division, I think he has also suffered from not having players around him on the same wavelength and he has been protected a little by the manager through resting him between games. Selling him would be absolute madness.

Well it's all about opinions and I don't see much development myself.  If he were to start taking more responsibility for being direct, dictating the tempo, taking a shot and playing the risky ball, I'd maybe agree he's worth keeping.  But he shows little or no inclination to do that, and his sole value seems to be to win a series of free kicks in dangerous areas which we then waste.

Did I read that SB thinks we lack pace, I think this is right and it hinders Jack. The movement into space in front of him isn't good enough. Even Kodja want the ball to feet and then to run at his man, we dont have anyone making the darting runs into space Jack can pass to. Perversely, the only times we seen flashes of this is when McCormack has played decently.

Re his spell at Notts County, I thought a year amongst cloggers old enough to be his younger uncle would have served him well for the Championship in terms of dealing with rough treatment but he has let his petulant side come to the fore this season more often than you'd want.
