Surely I read here, he was angling for a  move to Alavez to start his Spanish career again.

Yes I'd go after Ulloa aswell as his goalscoring record in the championship is excellent and he can also link it up well with midfield. Will probably be prem interest in him though.

Yes, me too.  Although I did read today (or maybe yesterday) that he has a move lined up to somewhere like Spain or Italy.  Pity.  Still, it's good that many on here seem to recognise the need for an out and out number 9 type of player.

Bump'n'grind, Old Kodj.

We need a big guy only if w ehave the skills - and the will - to put in ACCURATE high balls.
We don't.

Therefore, maybe Nakhi Wells would be a good call ? Younger, more mobile , more hard-working kind of Jordan Rhodes type ? Not yet as prolific I guess ( PWS can you confirm please ? )
But we were associated with him when he left Bradford.......and he hasn't been getting much headline space of late. Time for a change for him maybe ?

Not for me mate.  It is a presence that we require in the final 3rd.  We can already put crosses into the box and given the new arrivals, this will increase as well.  We also have midfielders who are now going to supplement attacks, meaning 2nd balls will come from a target man.  Currently, Kodjia doesn't even jump unless he's in the 6 yard box.  Look at the difference Gestede made against Leeds.  A more mobile Gestede is just what we need.

Never really saw what Ulloa brought to the team. Bit of an immobile cart horse. Expensive at that.

completely disagree mate, with respect. Our delivery into the box is absolute garbage and has been for years. Our midfield is powder puff weak and we've had nobody who can bang a quick accurate ball in for as long as I can remember. We're ok at the back and got a decent forward line with all hands on deck. But midfield is a major weakness linking attack from defence. A Sanchez type player, plus Grealish and someone else- decent right winger - would probably see us OK. Would've probably held on to Gestede, unless they've got a proper centre forward lined up to replace him.

Sorry Newby. Complete quote fail there- wasn't responding to your post. Was meant to reply to Old Kodjia.

I think Bruce likes to have a hard worker up there though.  I still don't believe Bristol City can find Kodjia for 2million amd we have not found any players around Europe that could come and improve our attacking options fairly cheaply.  Brighton paid bugger all for Knockeart last winter.  Boro loaned Ramirez last winter and he was brilliant for them.  There must be some players out there we can loan.

Can't Brucie call a favour from Old Trafford and get Marcus Rashford on loan?!

Lol... i was thinking someone like Akpom who he loaned from Arsenal last season or Grabban who while is never a premier league striker on loan in our squad might be of use.
