We've been linked to Darnell Furlong young QPR right back, yes I believe he is Small Heath's Hall of fame Furlong's son.

Ive been critical of Amavi but to be honest all fullbacks struggle when they dont have mobile midfielders coming out wide to support them ... they are left exposed.  With Jedinak holding Lansbury and Hourinane covering then perhaps it will allow Amavi some protection.

Huttons a lost cause though

I remember my nose mate at work coming back from his dinner break gushing that he'd seen a Mail billboard with 'Blues to spend £2m on Premier League Star' on it. How I laughed when our research uncovered that the 'star' was Paul Furlong.

I think jedinak could be a centre half

I think that is a really good call. It would quite exciting to have a conversion like that as well, similar to Southgate , and the opposite of Barry (both in terms of position and age).
Bad idea, he has the turning circle of a channel ferry.

Jedi in 4-4-2 = No, he's far too slow

Jedi in 3-5-3 = Maybe

Well anybody is going to look better if we're allowed to play 11 vs 12

Jedinak would be perfect to drop in when our fb's go forward. probably on a par with benteke and laursen as the best header(er?) of a ball in recent times. It amazes me - hes not particularly big, hasnt got a great leap on him and generally doesnt take a massive run up but seems to win everything. Its like a natural instinct on starting position and timing of jump.

On the flip side, if we construct an attacking midfield we may be able to take some of the attacking pressure off Hutton

...if FFP is an issue

Why would it be?

It's been mentioned in transfer stories so is a question

It'll be a race for his signature that Villa lose by a short head

I think Jedinak would make a terrible Centre Half.

Surprised we haven't been linked with Elmohammady. Bruce had him at Sunderland and Hull didn't he? Attacking right-full back.

Me too.   For me, it is more crucial that we replace him in midfield (probably the summer now) than it is to replace Hutton at RB.  Jedinak is on the rapid decline and his best days are long behind him.  The sooner he is used purely as a squad player, the better.  I know Tish is far from the finished article but I'd love to see him play 5 or 6 games as the holding midfielder, behind the likes of Lansbry, Hourihane etc.  I think that given the onus is less on bombing forward and rushing back, Tish has it in him to develop in a less energetic role in front of the back 4.

I kept an eye on Tishbola during the Wolves game, he might develop into a good combative midfielder in time, strong, athletic etc but his awareness of runners behind him was Westwood-esque. I can see why Bruce doesn't quite trust him to play the role yet.
