Derby have been in for a striker all window.  They are currently relying on Bent and have been previously linked with Rhodes.

Regarding the angst about timing of signings, getting pants pulled down on fees etc. The obvious answer to all that is to avoid heading into transfer windows whilst being desperate for new signings, which we've not been very good at for the past few years.

I'd rather Bruce not sign anyone if he can't get the players he wants. We're not going down, so maybe try some of the players he wants to keep and try some of the younger players with them. Then, in the Summer, hopefully he can get the players he wants to give us 1) a chance of going up, and 2) a chance of staying up after going up.
