They could agree a fee for the Summer, and could even loan him with a permanent deal already agreed for the next transfer window, as Villa/Albion did with the Davies and Moore transfers, and Albion have done again in getting rid of Craig Gardner.

I think they can buy him, he just couldn't play. "Players may be registered for a maximum of three clubs during the period from 1 July until 30 June of the following year. During this period, the player is only eligible to play in Official Matches for two clubs."

Gestede has his obvious limitations, but in tight games as per the Cardiff and Wolves ones, it's not unthinkable he could have come off the bench and turned the game. He's done it before: this season.  Gabby has offered little for two seasons and hasn't done anything worth remotely being near the coach on match day, nevermind starting the shagging game.

I wasn't unhappy to see Gestede go in early Jan, as that intimated we had someone lined up to come in and bridge the gap.  In Bruceworld, If that someone was Gabby all along -because he is here, and because we are already paying him- that's incredibly short-sighted.

The shagging game is one that, I understand, he's in mid-season form and raring to go again in.

Yes, Dr said we are working on deals and I belive him, Bruce won't give up on the playoffs as long as there is a chance, we just need some re-inforcements

I believe there will some pragmatism here. The bank will not be broken now to "go for it" but likewise he cant give the fans and players  the impression we have given up.

In think they v will see it as getting it right for next season and if we get a few weeks going maybe take the momentum through this. With so many of the top 8 to play, wroth 3 or 4 of the right signings we could still make ground up very quickly.

Or maybe the Doctor is telling the truth in that it's proving difficult bringing in the players Bruce wants. Benitez has said something similar in being told that players he wants are not for sale or are overpriced. It's not just us.

I see Robbie Keane is now finished with the MLS & is looking for a club in Blighty. I've no idea about how much dosh he'd be after, but even at 36 - I'd much prefer to have him up front than the 2 clowns that are currently doing Sweet Fanny Adams.
