The fact he may well go there and a manager as good and experienced as Conte disagrees with your assessment is enough for me.  I saw every game Adama played for us, every minute and my personal opinion is that Traore is a good player.  You have your opinion, I have mine.

Adama has all the physical attributes, ball control, dribbling ability, strength and pace. Which is why managers have taken him on. Unfortunately he does not have the ability to look up, play a part in the team plan and generally a footballing brain.

But this is just an opinion as Brian said. I really enjoyed the feeling of excitement when he stood up to a couple of defenders and blasted past them, but ultimately he frustrated the hell out of me.

Can't see a place at Chelsea for him at all. But would love him to prove me wrong.

Traore is shit. If he can't cut it at Boro he's not going to pull any trees up at Chelsea.

I disagree. He has massive potential

He has all the basics, just needs the attitude and some good coaching, lacked both of those with us.

He obviously can cut it at Boro, he's in the team and is their biggest threat and it seems Chelsea want him. So how is that not 'cutting' it at Boro?

The fans and manager are as equally frustrated as Barca and Villa apparently

He looks quite good at Middlesbrough from what I've seen, produced more than any of our wide players have so far.

I find the obsession with Rudy fascinating. He showed absolutely no skills in leading the line, in defending from the front or in having goal-scoring instincts. I've no doubt - in certain systems - that he might have a role but I couldn't imagine how it might have worked with us.
As to the timing of his departure, I suspect the buyer dictated that; and, with a handsome fee, why would we argue that too hard?

No goals, no assists in premier league apparently.

Because it left us short up front at a time when 2 other strikers left for international duty. I don't understand why we felt the need to sell him as soon at the new year bells were ringing, but perhaps we needed the money?

For what it is worth, if Traore is a shit player as plenty of you say, he is the only shit Villa player in my 70 years watching home and away that has had 2000 fans singing for him to come onto the field.

Evening.
No, I think that Steve Bruce had decided Gestede was awful ( like most of us do ), unable to be improved and if someone was stupid enough to pay £6m for him.........BITE their hands off and get on with it.

....and as for Traore. Well just point him I'm the direction of the opposition goal and see whatever happens.
Usually a bit of ooh-aahh and then nothing. Not what we need then , nor now.

I'm easily pleased.
