With this team the way it is, I don't want us to reach the play-offs. That's just a target to keep us honest from now on anyway. What I do want is for there to be a point to watching Aston Villa other than out of bloody-mindedness.

If you were the Barnsley lad, would you choose Villa having just watched that or a Wednesday team 5 points clear of 7th?

It's a good point. I just hope these potential players see Bruce and salary as important factors in any deal. Bloody hope so anyway!

Probably largely depends on who offers him the best contract.

On potential additions…

We can’t keep adding surgery because that is what we’ve done in the past.

We’ll work with what we’ve got, try to make us better and get away from this mentality.

Bruce did say in the post match interview on Sky that the Lansbury situation should unfold next week, although Forest have sacked their manager.....does that complicate the situation further? Reports are that Lansbury wants out anyway.

See, I agree with the sentiment, I just think a guy who thinks Gabby is worthy of starting might not be the right person for that approach.

I suspect that means the takeover will be back on again shortly.

If he's wise he'll change it to an owl. See what I did there?

Th Sentiment of Adding Surgery sounds like the title of a surrealist play by Antonin Artaud. The Theater of Cruelty writ large.

I agree that subtracting Gabriel from the cast would be a good move.

Seldom has so much been spent on so little. unless we sign what we so desperately need and have needed for years we going to struggle. I don't think I can be bothered to attend for the next two home games

I see Forest have sacked their manager now.
The Lansbury thing is destined to not happen, isn't it?

Rowett to take over, potentially? No money if no takeover, so is our Villa fan got enough credibility to be able to keep players? I suspect he might have to wheel and deal. If of course Rowett, really wants that gig.
